"IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU ALONE"
Proverbs 20:7
The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.
2 Kings 10:30
And the Lord said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in doing what
is right in My sight, and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in My heart,
your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”
What did Jehu do? He obeyed The Lord in destroying all the Prophets and Priests of Baal. He mobilized the people to burn down all the groves and the shrines of Baal. He cleansed the temple of Baal worship. He eliminated Ahab and Jezebel and all his sons including all closed friends of the king. He cleansed the land and there was fresh air of God's presence again. Then, God was happy and vowed to him to make him sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generations. He had used his obedience to God to buy the throne for his children yet unborn.
This was exactly the case with Abraham:
Genesis 13:14-16
14. And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him:
“Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—
northward, southward, eastward, and westward;
15. for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.
16. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that
if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your
descendants also could be numbered.
Because he heeded to the call of God to depart from his father's house to the land The Lord had prepared to establish for him, The Lord was happy with him and made a covenant with him and his descendants yet unborn. His obedience bought for his generations yet unborn the entire land of Canaan.
But what shall we say about the likes of Gehazi, Ham, son of Noah, Prophet Eli, etc, whose disobedience, unrighteousness and misdeeds got a covenant of anguish and curse for their children and generations yet unborn?
Proverbs 20:7
"The righteous man walks in his integrity;
His children are blessed after him."
The Bible says the integrity of a righteous man that secure a blessing for his children. How are you doing, Brother? How is your way of life before The Lord, Sister? Because if God is so happy with your life pattern, and He blesses you, you could be securing a permanent covenant of blessing for your children and grand children yet unborn. That was the mistake of many people, they thought so many evil and unrighteous things they do is about their life alone. They thought their unfaithfulness before God is a personal thing. They thought if they refuse to fulfill the plans and purpose of God, it is a personal affair. they thought, if they decide to have affairs with their colleagues or bosses in the office, it is a personal affair.
But Joseph never thought so. Joseph possessed the revelation of the mind of God to understand that, he was a priest to the house of Jacob while he was in Portiphar's house. He knew he was carrying their destiny with him wherever he was going. He knew in the spirit, that the future of his children and the entire family was hanging on his neck. Actually, he was carrying the destinies of his children and the whole land of Egypt in Portiphar's house. So, if he had slept with Portiphar's wife, the whole house of Jacob would have fallen; the whole lives he would deliver in Egypt would have been in jeopardy. If he had committed that adultery with the woman, would he have gone to the dungeon? If he did not go to there, would he have met with the butler of the king who mentioned him before the king two years later? He would never have appeared before Pharoah either. Pharoah's dreams would not have got an interpretation and the seven years of surplus would have come and gone without any preparation for the draught coming. What of the house of Jacob? They would have died of hunger with the rest of the land of Egypt. what of Judah? Could he have survived the seven year severe famine? If he had died of hunger, then, Jesse would never have been born. And David would never have existed. And...and the sons of David....would not have come. And...what about Jesus Christ...the Son of David? I don't know.
But I have taken you down the lane to see the terrible implication of a five minutes 'fun" Joseph would have had with Mrs Portiphar that afternoon. A whole lot of people born and unborn would have been affected negatively, by the 5 minutes enjoyment of a man who knew not his eternal worth. But thank God. Joseph possess a very sharp eyes of the future. He carried those people securely and safely to their destination without crashing the boat.
Some children of God thought their unfaithfulness and covetous spirit will have nothing to do with their children? It will. So also will your faithfulness, dedications, sacrifice and obedience.
It is just wise to understand that every unfaithfulness is a seed planted and every faithfulness and obedience to the will of God as Abraham did is a seed in the ground waiting for germination and harvesting in due time. You sacrificial offerings, your tearful obedience before The Lord, your double or triple tithes and outrageous offerings are not for you alone, it is a seed in the ground for you, your children and a lot of people whose destiny hangs on your neck. If the Lord had called you into ministry and you had disobeyed Him, it is not a personal matter, it is a matter that will affect your lie and your children and the lives of a lot of people you were billed to impact.
All those steadfastness in integrity in your office and at home, it of a very great reward. While all those "smartness" and unrighteous "moves" in the church of God or in your office, though securely concealed, but are serious seeds in the ground for our children first, then, a lot of people whose destiny we carry.
May The Lord open our eyes more to see that the promises of GREAT THINGS The Lord is placing before us require a lot of walking in integrity of heart and faithfulness unto God.
Be blessed.

"BREAKING THE SEAL OF HEAVEN"

DRAMA MINISTERS "YEAR OF GREAT THINGS"
DRAMA MINISTERS' 40 DAYS PRAYERS AND FASTING - DAY 17
(January 1 - February 9, 2015)
"BREAKING THE SEAL OF HEAVEN"

1 Kings 18:33-35, 38, 41, 45 NKJV
[33] And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, "Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood."
[34] Then he said, "Do it a second time," and they did it a second time; and he said, "Do it a third time," and they did it a third time.
[35] So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
[38] Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
[41] Then Elijah said to Ahab, "Go up, eat and drink; for there is the

sound of abundance of rain."
The Bible is full of mysteries. the more you read it the more you discover it.. If you read a passage today and get a mysteries, if you come back to that same passage, you may be amazed that the passage may give you another view different from the one you have known before. The mysteries are like a mighty sea. You can not finish exploring them.
Going through the story of Elijah, I kept on discovering mysteries after mysteries. I got a touching one I would like to share in this post.
The land of Israel had been under sever famine for more than three years. The brooks and rivers had dried up and there was no grass for the animals to feed. The heaven had been sealed up and there had been no rain at all. Everything was dry. God was angry with the land because they had forsaken Him to serve Baal.
Elijah had commanded Ahab to call all the prophets of Baal and the Priests of Asherah on to Mount Carmel to prove to all Israel who the true God was: whether it was the Baal or the God of Israel. And Ahab had called up all Israel and the prophets of Baal upon the mountain. They had all gathered and the 450 prophets of Baal had assembled, standing against Elijah the prophet of God. There was only one test to prove the true God: the God that answered by fire upon the altar of slaughtered bull, shall be the true God.
So the prophets of Baal killed their own bull first, cut it into pieces and laid it on the altar and began their chanting from the morning till evening, calling their god to send fire upon the alter and consume the offering, but there was no response from it. Their time was up. Israel was fed up with them, let Elijah come up and call the name of his own God too. So, Elijah arranged another altar, put the woods in order, killed the bull and cut it in pieces. He laid the pieces on the altar and the people watched. They watched how he would call down fire from the sky. THEN, ELIJAH DID THE MOST ABSURD THING: instead of calling fire down, he ordered water to be poured on the offering upon the altar and around the altar. Then, he dug a trench around the altar and commanded water to be poured on the offering till the trench was running with water all around the altar. Altogether, four potful of water were poured upon the altar three times to make a total of 12 pots full of water poured on the offering upon the altar. The people were astonished. They were looking for fire, he drenched the altar with water.
Then, he prayed.
1 Kings 18:37-39 NKJV
[37] Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again."
[38] Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
[39] Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!"
The most interesting thing about this whole episode was that, not that the fire came down alone, BUT THE FIRE CONSUMED EVERYTHING ON THE ALTAR AND LICKED UP THE WATER THAT WAS FLOWING AROUND THE TRENCH.
That was where I was going....THE FIRE LICKED UP THE WATER and there was no water on the altar or around the altar again. THE WATER EVAPORATED UP.
And after all the prophets of Baal had been killed, Elijah had said to king Ahab:
1 Kings 18:41 NKJV
"Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain."
THE SKY RUMBLED WITH A PREGNANCY OF HEAVY WATER...IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE WATER ON THE ALTAR HAD EVAPORATED!
I learnt in my secondary school, that when water evaporates, the vapour go up into the sky to form the water that pour down upon us as rainfall.
Probably it was the evaporated water from the altar that provoked the divine massive evaporation from the sea and the sky turned black in a short while:
1 Kings 18:44 NKJV
Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, "There is a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea!" So he said, "Go up, say to Ahab, 'Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.'"
And in a little while, the black sky of pregnant cloud delivered a heavy downpour of rain the way it had never happened in more than three years.
1 Kings 18:45 NKJV
Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel.
This is a simple law of nature: WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN.
By divine inspiration, Elijah ordered the altar to be drenched with twelve pots full of water, running around the trench of the altar. By divine wisdom he knew that when the fire LICKED UP the water, it will provoke the DIVINE EVAPORATION FROM THE SEA and cause the sky to be black with pregnant cloud. This excite me a lot. What would I call this...? Biblical Geography? Or Biblical Meteorological Science? The Word of God is full of wisdom.
Now, I found this to be one of the secret of this Year of Great Things: There was famine in Israel and everywhere was dry. The boy with five loaves of Bread and two fishes submitted his on the altar and it evaporated and rained down volumes of bread and fishes that fed five thousand men without counting women and children; the widow of Zarephath placed her handful of flour and little oil on the altar and they evaporated to become a rainfall that fed all her household for many months.
About three ago, while we were having our end of the year retreat in Mount Zion, the Lord brought this same illustration before us, and commanded us to pour water on the altar of God as Elijah had done on Mount Carmel. He commanded us all in the ministry to empty our purse and pockets and accounts on His altar, and every one of us took his or her money to the Lord at that year's Cross-Over Night and placed them in offering bags in various places the Lord had led each of us. The offering was not dropped in our ministry. The Lord made us to understand that: AN EVAPORATED OFFERING FROM THE ALTAR PRODUCES SOUND OF ABUNDANCE OF RAIN.
Through out this year, you must have water you would cast upon the Altar, if you must conitnuously hear Sounds of the Abundance of Rain that would translate into a heavy downpour of divine blessing and Breakhrough. You must keep the Altar of the Lord wet with offerings...Then, there will continually be Sounds of Abundance of Rain upon your head.
Keep the ground active with seeds...and there will be continuous Harvesting into your barns...
May the Lord give you abundance of Rain and Bountiful Harvesting in times like these.

"MYSTERIES OF THE COMMANDER'S COMMANDS"

DRAMA MINISTERS' 40 DAYS PRAYERS AND FASTING - DAY 16
(January 1 - February 9, 2015)
"MYSTERIES OF THE COMMANDER'S COMMANDS"
Daddy Mike
1 Kings 17:2-4, 7-9 NKJV
[2] Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
[3] "Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.
[4] And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there."
[7] And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
The Lord spoke to Elijah to go and hide by the brook of Cherith and drink water there and eat there from the food supplied by the ravens, and Elijah obeyed the voice of the Lord and went to Cherith Brook. The obedience worked for him for a while till he discovered that he brook was drying up rapidly and eventually became a mere empty valley. The water was dried and definitely, the ravens also stopped bringing the regular food. I dont know how many days or hours Elijah spent wondering why the river dried up. He had obeyed the Lord, but had encountered some problems along the way...the river dried up.
Luke 8:22-23 NKJV
[22] Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." And they launched out.
[23] But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy.
In another instance, the Lord Jesus had commanded the disciples to go to the other side of the sea in a boat. And as they were sailing, a terrible storm arose over the sea and they were in jeopardy as the storm was splashing water into the boat and was about to sink it. They had obeyed the Lord, and they too had encountered a problem that threathened their life....there was deadly storm along the voyage.
Judges 20:18-21, 23 NKJV
[18] Then the children of Israel arose and went up to the house of God to inquire of God. They said, "Which of us shall go up first to battle against the children of Benjamin?" The LORD said, "Judah first!"
[19] So the children of Israel rose in the morning and encamped against Gibeah.
[20] And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin, and the men of Israel put themselves in battle array to fight against them at Gibeah.
[21] Then the children of Benjamin came out of Gibeah, and on that day cut down to the ground twenty-two thousand men of the Israelites.
[23] Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and asked counsel of the LORD, saying, "Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?" And the LORD said, "Go up against him."
[25] So the children of Israel approached the children of Benjamin on the second day. [25] And Benjamin went out against them from Gibeah on the second day, and cut down to the ground eighteen thousand more of the children of Israel; all these drew the sword. [26] Then all the children of Israel, that is, all the people, went up and came to the house of God and wept. They sat there before the LORD and fasted that day until evening; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
How do you explain this mystery? They did not go on their own accord, they asked Him for permission, and He gave it, and they went to the war and got defeated massively, losing 22,000 soldiers the first time. They encouraged themselves again and appraoched the Lord for permission to go and fight the Benjamintes, the Lord gave them the permission expressly. They went to war and lose again, getting 18,000 of their soldiers killed in the war front.
They sought the Lord's face before moving. Yet they encountered terrible problems. What is your take on this?
What would you do in this situation? What can this possibly mean?
What can you say to this?
What do you understand by this complexity?
