"WHEN ENEMIES BESIEGE THE CAMP OF THE SAINTS"

Joshua 11:19-20, 23 NKJV
[19] There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, except the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon. All the others they took in battle.
[20] For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that He might utterly destroy them, and that they might receive no mercy, but that He might destroy them, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
[23] So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land rested from war.

In 2014, the year was started with a 100 day fasting and prayers which ended on April 10th at the command of the Lord. And the Lord called the year, Year of Open Door. Trully speaking, there it was a year of Open Doors and great breakthroughs. And we had thought, since we have gone into that long days of fasting and prayers, all things would now be smooth and all crooked roads would be straightened and decked with precious stones and there would be no mountains and valleys, but pure plain grounds to walk on. How wrong we were!

The battle against forces of evil was so tense in the year we had the long fasting and prayers. But we saw a mighty hand of God at each attack, defending us and intervening at strategic points. It was as if, we were confused and wondered why there should be much warfares against after going through all those prayer and fasting sessions. There were attempts of the devil to strike each of our families in our ministries apart from the financial oppositions the devil mounted against us.

But I was seriously encouraged, when the Lord spoke through His servant, the General Overseer of RCCG, that the long fasting and prayers were a seedtime, but the following year has been marked down as Year of Massive Harvests.

From the passage of he scriptures above, I got the secret more confirmed again: The multiple warefares and spiritual oppositions against you, after doing whatever the Lord has asked you to do, are meant to arrange for you a multitude of spoils and booty, The Lord could not have performed the miracles of abundance of flour and oils outside the gate of Samaria, if the army of Syria had not gathered against the army of Israel, coming to their camp with a lot of food for the multitude of soldiers. So, when they had gathered enough food, the Lord out the gate of Samaria, and the Lord was about to dislodge them away from the food, the Prophet of the Lord prophesied:

2 Kings 7:1 NKJV
....."Hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the LORD: 'Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.'"

So the Lord drove them away from their camp overnight and they never waited to pack all the food they had brought.
It was the same situation with the people of Israel: none of their enemy nations made peace with them, the Lord hardened their hearts to come against Israel, so that they could be destroyed and their land and possessions possessed by the people of Israel. THIS MEANS, THE MORE BATTLE THEY FOUGHT, THE MORE SPOILS AND LAND THEY POSSESSED.

Are you worried you have done all ou know to do, before the Lord; or you feel you have paid all the price you need to pay and make all necessary sacrifices as commanded by the Lord, but yet, there seems to be great oppositions and warfares standing arrayed before you? Hold on and listen to this:

I HAVE LEARNT FROM THIS PASSAGE AND OTHER SITUATIONS THAT, WHEN ENEMIES GATHER AND BUILD A SIEGE AROUND A CHILD OF GOD, IT IS SO THAT WHEN THE LORD DISLODGES THE ENEMIES, THEY MIGHT LEAVE BEHIND, MUCH SPOILS AND POSSESSIONS FOR HIM/HER TO POSSESS.
